About Gaynor Lewis

Enchanted by the magic created when ideas and thoughts come together, Gaynor focuses on subjects she finds inspiring through form, colour, character, emotions and tales.

Passionate about the animal kingdom, alot of her time is spent focusing on different species. This she does for a current Animal Behaviour course she is studying for, her artwork of course, and also for enjoyment.

Other themes occur in her artworld and you will often find Gaynor working on something entirely different... could be a serene landscape in watercolours or a scene from the world of Tik ToK, a popular character, with art exhibitions sometimes dedicated solely to him. Currently writing the book - TiK ToK and the Key of Time.

Gaynor has exhibited locally as well as internationally.

Gaynor welcomes any interesting opportunities from galleries, publishers, commissions, etc., - please contact with details...

About Gaynor's Work

Gaynor uses a variety of mediums and subjects in her artwork. She enjoys the effects that can be found by using the different choices and also from mixing them.

Her stories and poetry are often based on fantasy and magic, although, if you look for it, you will always find reality lurking nearby...

My work takes me through a journey of feelings past and present, hopes for the future, of how I wish life truly was. Some areas manifest from dreams and nightmares, some from daydreams and wishes. I attempt to 'fix' these visions, in my artwork and in my writings."

Gaynor Lewis was born in Derbyshire, England and moved to Australia as a baby. During her childhood she grew up amongst the colourful wildlife of Australia and then the lush green countryside of Derbyshire, after moving back to England where she still resides. Writing books and poetry, she loses herself in a world of magic and enchantment full of adventure and fantasy.
